Additional info - my sister has put pictures on her blog - "the not-so-lone coder" (see the link on the side bar).
I just got home from visiting my parents. I was only able to visit Dad for a little bit (he gets tired very quickly). He is pale and his blood pressure dropped while we were there which was not so good. (His pulse was also in the 90s and his O2 sat 91% when i glanced at the monitor.) We think it was just cause he had so much going on this morning (the nurse gave him a shower, Mum and I came to visit just after this, one of the ministers from Church arrived just after us, and then the lady who organises the meals came to get his choices for the next day and a bit). They put him back into bed when they realised how low his blood pressure was (the beds are really cool, to get Dad into the right position in the bed, they can make the bed tilt backwards and slide him into the right place). As we left there were several nurses in there doing a few more tests. Mum is visiting at the moment, so will let me know how he is when she gets home (i'll update the post if there is any news), but he should be fine. At this stage they expect him to be in hospital until Tuesday at least.
It turns out, that rather than having a double bypass, they decided to do a quadruple bypass (not sure why yet, but i guess its so they don't have to do another one in a few years time. Only two arteries were blocked, maybe two others were almost blocked?). Dad has a massive scar down the middle of his chest (we haven't photographed it yet, but I am sure Dad will let us once he is home from the hospital). He also has stitches on his ankle and forearm where they took suitable blood vessels from.

we'll keep praying for him Jenni. It sounds like he's recovering slowly. This week Tan had to take his dad to hospital too we're not too sure what's wrong - just hope that it's not cancer.
