From now on we will hopefully be a bit better at posting regularly (uni work load and general energy levels permitting), but before i finish this one i have a few observations to make about pregnancy. (1) when the doctor says to expect it to take 4-6 months to get pregnant, don't forget it can still happen within 1 month, and (2) morning sickness can last a long time (i was 18 weeks before i stopped throwing up, and i hope i haven't spoken too soon).

exciting news (and the reason we haven't posted for a long time)
Well, I guess there is no good reason for not posting, except that i didn't want to give away the exciting news before it was time. Anyway, here is the good news..... Ron and I are expecting our first child in August (the various doctors have now decided on a due date - August 13th). We had our 19 week ultrasound last week (pictures to come later, once i can find someone to scan them for me). Bub was being a bit difficult (facing the wrong way and not wanting to move) but all the pictures were completed eventually (after a walk and some lunch) and everything is fine. Because of the difficult position it was hard to tell the gender, but we were told it is probably a girl. My mother and sister (having known our news since Christmas) are having great fun buying baby stuff for us. My sister recently arrived back from the states with these - i particularly love the google hat.
